Acknowledge yourself as a sinner, hate your sin, turn from it, and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ today! In order to have peace with God, we must repent and believe in His Son Jesus Christ, who is the perfect image of the invisible God, who died and rose again to save us from the just wrath of our Holy Creator. Jesus IS the ONLY way. (John 14:6).
Jesus Christ lived a sinless perfect life because he is God and he came to shed his precious blood as a man, to take our punishment and give us his eternal life: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) Jesus is the awaited Saviour and "he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. ... And they made his grave with the wicked ... although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt". (Isaiah 53: 5-6, 9-10)
We are spiritually dead and rebellious sinners headed to hell and eternal destruction. We are filthy and, as we are, we cannot stand before a Holy infinite and righteous God: "Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins ... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Ecclesiastes 7:20, Romans 3:23)
God is our Creator, He is love, He is the just judge, He is holy, holy, holy. God is compassionate, faithful, merciful and forgiving beyond all compare: "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9)
